I've only been playing with Minecraft for a few months but I've already spent a substantial amount of time learning the ins and outs of hMod. I'm a little scared of the potential licensing issues, but generally very excited about the possibility of seeing an actively maintained plug-in framework. :)
I've been working in Java for about 10 years now, including both large and small professional projects. More recently I've been working in C# and .NET, but still prefer Java, or C, or even shell scripting.

The name "Mixcoatl" means "Cloud Serpent" in Nahuatl. It is pronounced miʃ-ˈkoː-aːtɬ, using IPA. Using American Pronunciation Respelling (like a dictionary entry) it is pronounced mēsh-kō-ŏt. The final L can be dropped, as there is no way to write the lateral release of this consonant in English (it's similar to Welsh LL, though.)
