Death Chest

It's an original standalone mod that I would like to be ported into Bukkit.

It was created by Risugami and here's what he wrote as to what it does.

Is this the same as Deadmanschest mod? If so I really liked it. Made retrieval a lot easier, especially when sometimes everything would be invisible.

Not sure but the principle should be the same. When you die if you have a chest on you it'll spawn on the closest available block and all your inventory items will be put inside it instead of scattered on the ground to be deleted over time.

 

To my understanding, there is currently no onPlayerDie event. I'll check again, but I don't think there is.

 

Nope we need this for the mod I suggested as well. It should be out soon.

 

don't need an on player die, when they take damage check to see if the damage is enough to kill them, do the event at that point, then exit the hook letting them die

 

No player damage events.

 

sure there are, use the entity damage events and cast over the entities over to the respective types (using instanceof first)

 

I'll look into it. I would prefer to wait till the player events.

 

Any progress on this? They did add some new events to Bukkit recently if I recall correctly.

 

I know some death events work now, I've seen them...

 

No one has made a plugin like this yet? I see Tombstone is out, but it is only LWC compatible, and Im running lockette on my server.
