Can 1.8 client play on bukkit 1.7.9 (beta build)?

Can minecraft 1.8 client play on craftbukkit 1.7.9 (beta build, 3092)?

 

No, there is currently no CraftBukkit version that supports 1.8 clients. There will be a 1.8 Bukkit version in the future, but it hasn't been completed yet.

 

When will CraftBukkit support the released 1.8 version of minecraft....... I just received it and now i cant play on my server........

 

Just downgrade your client until Bukkit 1.8 is out...

 

The historical answer is "when it's ready." It's extremely difficult to estimate the time it will take to complete such a task, and as such, the team tends not to give ETAs seeing as they could be very inaccurate and cause discontent within the community. Just hang in tight; it'll be out soon enough.

The alternative to waiting for CB to be updated is to use an unofficial/unsupported protocol hack, which is strongly advised against due to its potential to break things.
