[FUN] ChangeName v2.2 - Change players displaynames! [1000]
ChangeName Version : 2.2

Description:
Player can change their own displaynames and admins can change the displaynames of Player an their own!
A displayname is the chatname of a player!

Commands:

• /changename <newname> - Change own displayename to <newname>
• /changename <playername> <newname> - Change the name of <playername> to <newname>
• /getname <playername> - get the displayname of a player

Permissions:

• changename.own - change the own name
• changename.other - change other players names
• changename.get - get the name of players

He was replying to captainawesome, he wasn't saying that your plugin doesn't work

While DispNameChanger is more fully featured, choice isn't a bad thing. Obviously contributing to the same code is better since you have included the source with your plugin (+1 for that by the way) but I don't think there is any reason to discourage AintLarry's plugin.

DispNameChanger won't work for me, so I'm using your mod! I bet I could scare the crap out of my friends because my player looks like Herobrine...

EDIT: Too bad this dosen't change the name over the player's head...

Yes... essentially all they do is change your name in the chatbox

 

DispNameChanger changes the name above your head as well, and with permissions, colors, and spaces.

 

is this completely change the name or can u still se the real name?

 

This does not change my name.. I use permissions 3.x and iChat which is the only plugins that could do something with chat.

yes, because iChat use the name as displayname but a plugin can't change the name only the displayname

 

Does this run with permissions? I don't want people changing each other's names on my server.
