Inactive [ADMN/SEC] AuthDB v2.3.6 - Database authentication and protection [1.1-1.4.5]

Would be nice if either / or both of these worked: bbPress & Wordpress

They are already on the To-Do list. I've been looking into what their database tables are and password encryption used. They will be supported soon.

That's a good question... I believe I'm running 544, I'll go ahead and update to 556/7 to see what happens.

Update: I updated to 557 and it seems to be working. However, since my forum is run on a different server than my VPS, it seems that it's causing Communication Link failures. It's sort of frustrating :3

Okay, I'm going to sit in this chair tommrow and waste my friday till I get the AuthDB 1.4 released, sorry for taking so long but I've been a bit busy. Also the whole plugin is almost rewritten and reorganzied to keep a good performance, also after this stable release it will be way easier for me to add more forum boards/cms and all those kind of things. Anyhow, if you come back tommorow I should have a stable release out

Do you have remote MySQL enabled on the server where the database is located?

Requesting support for Drupal (it's a CMS, but that shouldn't matter).

On the to-do list to be released soon. Drupal 7 password encryption is a little crazy compared the previous versions of Drupal.

Do I have to restart the server every time someone registers on the forums? My idea for the server login is to register on the forums first and then login with that password (registration from server is disabled). But when I do that I get communications link failure and I have to restart the server in order to login with that password.

That's an error we have been trying to fix. We can't seem to figure out why it's doing that on some servers. Hopefully we will have a fix for it soon! That's the main issue keeping us from releasing the next version.

I'd like to second the request. Encryption could be like whatever is possible really; MD5, SHA1, SHA256, etc - maybe the ability to add a random generated salt or something.

As Wulf said, already added. Although SHA256 and salt is not added yet, MD5 and SHA1 are added.

Can i link this to my own MySQL database rather then pointing it to a forum?
