[BRILLIANT IDEA] OFFICIAL TeamSpeak Server for Bukkit!

Mumble is far better than teamspeak. Much lower resource usage.

That said, having an official server would mean we'd need official moderators and staff and headaches and....

I'd rather an unofficial server, and would actually join it sometimes. Tried joining the previous 'unofficial' server but it seemed pretty dead, which was unfortunate.

Note: I'm just saying this as a community member, not as an official decision on a mumble server. That's something for the adminly folk to decide.

Also, there's no chance that the Bukkit team would want to sit around all day and have randoms from the forums yell at them to do stuff. That's like IRC, except 50x worse. When I tried my idea, I based it around the community being able to help eachother out with coding and stuff, or to bounce ideas off eachother. But it didn't work nobody wanted to party.

Well, if the community wanted to put one up and post it on the Bukkit Discussion forums, I would not take it down. Mumble requires no license fees after all, so it should be able to be provided fairly inexpensively.

If Bukkit were to officially sponsor a Mumble chat, we would have to recruit moderators to keep the mumble chat intact. This is not something we will take on at this time.

It probably would, but "work" is a relative term.
If by "work" you mean:
- Infested with millions of 12 year olds screaming at eachother
- Productivity decreasing more than 400%
- People getting banned every half second
- Moderators killing themselves
- Towns going up in flames
Then yeah, it would probably do that.
