Should I update to the newest version of bukkit 1.7.9 or should I keep my server on 1.7.2? This is just a question because I don't know if most used plugins are updated to 1.7.9. So should I update or no?

 

If your plugins worked in 1.7.2, chances are, they'll work in 1.7.9. There is no point in *not* updating to 1.7.9, really, unless you're worried about complex plugins using NMS.

But of course, the Craftbukkit 1.7.9 jar is sort of, y'know, *poof*

 

Be sure you use CraftBukkit and not Bukkit

 

ColonelHedgehog I never updated to 1.7.9 as my economy plugin(iConomy) doesn't support UUID/Name Changes.

 

Use Vault then. iConomy has been outdated for months.

 

As far as I know: Vault is an API, not an econ.

And yes, I do have Vault.

 

Vault isn't just an API. iConomy hasn't been updated for two years anyway.
