Cannot Connect Even With Local Host

    Hello i have recently set up a bukkit server and have port forwarded and fixed all of my problems that i have had but now i have a new problem sprung up and i cant connect using my external ip (the ones freinds use) or Local host i have to use 192.168.X.X to reach it. Can Anyone help.

    P.S. my freinds cannot connect too

    Plus What i mean by I cant connect by localhost i mean when i try it says connection refused and the smae with the ones friends use

    1. Turn off your firewall.
    2. Check canyouseeme.org to see if you have portforwarded correctly.

    I also wouldn't suggest bumping every 2 minutes.

    Ok i have checked canyouseeme.org and it says i cannot see you reason:connection refused
    how do i fix this

    i am on a mac BTW

    EDIT: I have already turned off my firewal but canyouseeme.org still says connection refused and whats bumping

    Bumping is repeatedly posting messages to attract attention to your thread/post.

    If it says that the connection is refused or something, that's good. It means that you have port forwarded correctly, but something is wrong.
    I'm not sure on how to fix that error on Mac's, but I'll give it a shot.
    Check to see if there are any anti-virus programs on your Mac that will stop the portforwarding from working.
