ive got a bukkit server running. and a friend has a regular minecraft server running. he doesnt want to run it anymore. would i be able to combine his world into mine, and have his generate in an area that hasnt been discovered in my world?
Put the world in a place that doesn't exist..? I don't think so. But you could always generate a bunch of new land that'll be unexplored and then use MCEdit to place his world in there.
the game coming out of beta doesn't effect the compatibility with MCEdit. Try the latest release. It came out a month ago: https://github.com/mcedit/mcedit/downloads you can add his world to yours by opening his world in mcedit, copying it all, and pasting it into your world. If it won't let you paste between worlds then you can copy all of his world and save it as a schematic, then import into your world.
it keeps crashing when i try and copy or export it. ive got 16GB of ram in my computer, is there something i need to change in the program?
