Connection timed out : connect

I get this problem when a friend connects but leaves every 30 seconds or so. He said it says connection timed out:connect
What do I dooooo!!!!!!
pls help guys

 

Get a more stable internet connection.

I got a good internet connection and I have one friend that can connect because he has the same Internet modem

 

So they're in the same network? On a LAN?
Also don't forget the second part of my post, it's where all the juicy information comes from

 

we both are using the same brand which is netgear Optus
that thread does not have answers about this problem

If someone could test out if my server works

Right, http://www.ipfingerprints.com/portscan.php shows your port 25565 as CLOSED, this means your issue is to do with port forwarding.

I says it works but when i typed in the external ip to get into the the server connection timed out came up
