Yeah, this would be epic to see in Minecraft. A black wool would be a living cell, and a white would be a dead cell. To create the board for it, a huge white wool rectangle. Right clicking the board with black dye would create a living cell. Starting and stopping of the simulation would be done through commands, so you can set up gliders and such before starting it.
