wait, so if your on windows 7, do you just go to start menu type IP go to network connections, and go to the network you are connected to, then click details, than your IP address is the thing that says IPv4 Adress?

Hey, I'm sorry to bother you but I'm an EXTREME NOOB with this. I've downloaded the Craftbukkit Launcher, launched it and let it load everything. Now what do I do? I'm sorry. Please help as I really don't want to have to use Hamachi and everybody says this is way better. Please reply soon, I don't have a clue what to do. Enter my IP? Go to a website? Make some files? No idea. Thanks for what you've been doing an keep up the good work.

    Thanks,

Hey, I wish i could go through the steps one by one with you, but I'm kinda busy right now. If you do a quick search, you will find out exactly how to set it up.

Yes that should be it but you can also :
Start => cmd => type "ipconfig" => scroll to where it says ipv4 address

You, sir, are a genius. I have wanted to use CraftBukkit on my server ever since I first heard about it but gave up after being assaulted with all of the complex coding and what-not necessary to get it running. This is such an easy way to get things going, it really is the best system I've found.

Thank you so much! Now my friends and I will be able to enjoy the modding love in multiplayer!

Thank so much for the installer, made it 1000x easier. Everything is fine but when i click on the Launch CraftBukkit desktop icon it tells me "The system could not find the path specified. Press any key to continue." How do i solve this?

Yeah i changed it into a folder and my java is 1.6 and im running on windows 7
EDIT: I tried to leave it where it normally installs but the same error message
2nd EDIT: Nevermind, I fixed it, but thanks for your concern and for the installer. To fix it i just edited the CraftBukkit Starter and replaced what was there with this:
    Code:
    @ECHO OFF
    SET BINDIR=%~dp0
    CD /D "%BINDIR%"
    "%ProgramFiles%\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xincgc -Xmx1G -jar craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar
    PAUSE

but when anyone tries to join they get the message

    Connection refused: connect"

in server.properties, the server-ip should be blank and the port should be the default (25565). Also, you might have to check your firewall and anti-virus to make sure it isnt blocking hamachi from connecting to the internet

</3 I can't find anything for this, just for other ways to create a server. Sorry to be such a pain, but you don't have to go through all the steps...can you just link me to something that will? Sorry, I know I'm an idoit. Thanks.

which antivirus do you have? I will check the version again with Trend Micro Titanium and see if anything comes up, though I don't see why it should be dangerous. What type of virus does it say it has?
