    In order to centralize support of our legacy projects, we will no longer be providing support on Bukkit. Please use www.spout.org for support with our projects going forward.

    I think it's not Spoutplugin related but Craftbukkit's:
    After craftbukkit-1.1-R5-SNAPSHOT build#1943, not including it, all of my plug-ins are broken :(

    Read the notice at the top of this page. We've already updated, but you'll need to be running the latest builds that are compatible with it.

    Is it possible as a server admin to enter keyboard shortcuts that will propagate to my players clients?

    For example, I would like to set it so that all clients can press L and it will execute '/wolfcall'

    Should I forward this to him or just wait for a response? Because with all the amazing things you guys are working on I feel like this would be an amazing feature if it isn't there already (I work hard to allow my players play without having to stop and enter commands in text and this would go a long way)

    Well, we're not really adding any new features to SpoutPlugin any more, but a plugin could add a KeyBinding which does that too. From narrowtux. :)

    Is theres any way i can see if a player uses Spoutcraft without having him to relog and me to check the log?

    You can use the /spout version playername command. You'd use it without the slash if you are using it in the server console.

    I've been spending the last week looking at plug ins for my server and Spout has made me want to dust off my Java, I'll be looking into this :)

    Also thank you for what is probably the politest denial of a feature request I've seen in my software engineering career haha

    Edit: Could you point me to an entrypoint on where I would go about adding to the Spout Controls list? Sorry but it's a bit overwhelming at first and I can't seem to find any menu manipulation such as this.

    HOW the hell do you install this in to a server, the .jars i'm downloading or are downloadable are all snapshots or spoutcrafts .jars which wont work in the console, the download links are rubbish, where can i find the Spout.jar like we used to be able to, just a simple server plugin .jar?

    Can someone link me the actual server plugin .jar please

    SpoutPlugin gets installed on the server in the plugins folder. http://spout.in/plugin
    Spoutcraft is the client.

    The download links are fine, you just aren't reading the descriptions.

    Thanks, theres no installation guide on how to do this properly, or at least i couldn't find one.....it was so much easier to do it before without all the different download tabs, spout.jar and spoutcraft.exe

    Now there are like 6 different download links that dont specify what each do, its just recommented build or dev build.....and you are saying its SpoutPlugin so why is there Spout (server), this is why its all confusing?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

    But thanks anyways i've got it sorted now

    The current download site was just a quick solution to remedy the lack of dedicated download page that uses our mirror system. I was thinking you went through dev.bukkit, being as you are talking here. :p

    There are actually a few installation guides. YouTube has quite a few, and I'm sure others could be found.

    We'll have a better download site up eventually, but we're had other priorities.

    Good, im glad, i dont wanna have to go through this again, also, i went through the main page, where it says Download/Spout Forum/Server list Submission, that took me to the 6 download tabs thingy, when i clicked Download.

    The YouTube videos out there are from 4-6months ago, so not as updated with the current layout, but your installation guide you have just given me is the best one out there so far, answered what i needed staright away ;) ( you should link that to the main page!)

    So again thanks

    Well you'll have to create a KeyBinding with a title and a default key.
    You'll have to implement a KeyBindingDelegate somewhere and set an instance of that to the KeyBinding. In the Delegate, the methods will be called whenever someone presses or releases the key assigned to the binding.
    In there, you could map the binding to a command and execute it with Bukkit.dispatchCommand(player, command);
    Then you register that binding using SpoutManager.getKeyBindingManager().registerBinding(binding);
    I'll let you care about the implementation of the persistence :p
    Good luck with it ;)

    hello not sure if your plugin is causing this but its the only recognizble thing in the error

    SpoutPlugin: 737
    Craftbukkit: 1.1-R4

    There is no lag, no slowdowns, the server is perfectly fine and not even close to crashing. Then randomly this error pops up in the console and crashes the server

    There isn't really a way. If it's not shortcuts, then it's keyboard macros with any available keyboard the supports them or free software on the internet. If you're having issues with spam, then you should be running a server plugin to prevent spam.

    It depends on the mod complexity and if our API has what the mod needs yet. A good place to start would be to learn Java if you don't already know it and then look over the Javadocs for SpoutcraftAPI at http://jd.spoutcraft.org/latest.
