So lately my server has been experiencing some major lag, and even crashing multiple times. I downloaded a plugin called EntityWatch which tells me the positions of the most busiest area (entities) So I was getting readings like 3000+ entities at some locations, and after tp'ing there I found that the mob spawner chests were spitting out 1000's of items (saddles, gunpower, buckets, iron etc.) Note: This bug also happens with things such as torches in abandoned mineshafts, and minecart tracks in abandoned mineshafts. I was able to get this picture over all the lag: I wasn't sure if this was a Bukkit bug or not, but I thought I'd post it here anyway, to see if anyone else has had this problem. There are some plugins I have that could maybe have an influence on this bug. BorderGuard: I use BorderGuard so that players cannot explore too far. These chests spitting out items have only been outside the border so far, never inside the border. LWC: I use LWC to allow players to lock chests, furnaces, dispensers etc. This bug obviously happens to chests. If anyone has any info on this bug or how to avoid/fix it, please let me know. Thanks
Destroy it the best way you can? Surround it in lava, perhaps? Sorry to ask but how well does BoarderGuard work? I'm interested, because I don't want my map to be too big.
Yeah, I use EntityWatch to tp to the position then use /remove items 10 to remove the items around me, then I destroy the chests. BorderGuard just creates an invisible wall around your map to prevent people from exploring beyond the defined border. More can be found here.
How much did you protect? like with the command , what block variable did you use? Im not sure how big I want my map tbh.
Well it all depends on your player count. I suggest something like 2500 - 4000 So that's 5000x5000 or 8000x8000
