I found this cool trick to find more about your system info, and thought it would be helpful.

    1. Open command prompt.
    2. Type in SYSTEMINFO and wait..

    4. Congrats.

It shows your host name, OS name, OS version, OS manufacturer, OS configuration, and beyond.

Microsoft needs to freaking improve that program though. It has been around in some capacity since win95.
win95 and win98 (probably winme too) called it systeminfo32 and it was a gui app.

I would like to be able to select the information it displays. In the most cases list of hotfixes is completely unneeded for the situation at hand.

there is a better option than the command line version.
    Win XP:
    1. Open up Run
    2. Type in "msinfo32.exe"
    Win Vista and 7
    1. Open up Start Menu
    2. Type "msinfo32.exe"
