We have added a new requirement for projects. A project must have a file uploaded to it for us to approve the project.

Why did we make this change?

We have had a large influx of empty projects submitted, and have found multiple occasions where someone creates a project then requests a plugin to be created for them matching their project description. BukkitDev is intended as a place for our fantastic community to showcase their plugins, not for some random person to take our community's work and show it off as their own.

If you are creating the project to get the project ID for auto updaters, you will still get your ID upon the project creation. You can then add this ID to your plugin updater, upload the file and resubmit your project for approval.

As an added benefit, this will speed up our ability to handle the queue as we no longer have to check over projects without a file, as they may never be a fully realized project. The community will see faster approval times and better quality of projects, while stopping people who have never intended to upload a file of their own.
