Help configuring permissions for Bukkit server

I tried to download a plugin for my first time, and my friends suggested the DwarfCraft.
So I went to download it and saw that it required permissions, I downloaded the permissions plugin, and read the instructions.
I tried configuring the config file many times, but still every time that I try to perform a command it says that I don't have the permission to use that command.
OS: Windows 7 32-bit.
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3600+ 1.91 GHz.
RAM: 2.00 GB

 

Well, I need to know more. Good start though. Are you op because OPs get full commands. Also what permissions plugin do you have? If you have Group-Manager, post your groups.yml in code below.

 

I'm the owner of the server, so yea I'm OP.
actually I only have PermissionsBukkit 2.0 installed, is there a need to install another plugin?

 

There's your problem, PermissionsBukkit. I recommend GroupManager. (that's a recommendation)

permissionsbukkit works fine as a permission plugin.

DwarfCraft seems interesting. I am using mcMMO which is another RPG plugin so I don't think they will work together.

thats not groupmanager groups.yml... looks like Bpermissions to me.

 

bPermissions is better then group manager in my opinion, he doesn't HAVE to use GroupManager if he doesn't want to, nor does he have to use bPerms.

 

This whole thread is permissions plugin advertising. You people are telling him first groupmanager, then bpermissions, then PEX. Make up your minds .

 

Theres a difference between advertising and sharing opinions.
