CraftBook adds a number of original gameplay elements to Minecraft from switchable bridges to elevators to gates (including flood gates)! It also has redstone support, allowing you to wire up pumpkins and use integrated circuits!

Some cool stuff people made last year:

CURRENT STATUS: CraftBook was made in 2010 before Bukkit was around, and was then ported to Bukkit partially. NOT ALL FEATURES WORK (see below). Development has stalled, but the plugin is still usable. For more information, see this post and the subsequent posts. Permissions and other 3rd-party support is fully powered by WorldEdit, so as long as you update WorldEdit, CraftBook supports the latest permissions debacle.

Requirements: Java 6+, some recent version of Bukkit

Very important: You need WorldEdit, and also a DEVELOPMENTAL VERSION (available from the same site linked above). Don't want WorldEdit? Put WorldEdit.jar into your server's root directory instead.

Hey sk, will the different dyes/wools be usable in the cauldron at some point? Or any other items/blocks with the same ID# but different damages, like half-steps?

Looks awesome! So are all of the minecart features going to be in CraftBookVehicles.jar so if we are using MinecartMania we can just leave that file out?

@evangds try to update your WorldEdit

but for me there is no config file generated for CraftBook/common that's right? Gates also won't work here for any reason with no errors in console

you do no your whining about nothing? im sure there are many bugs, but you do realise this is in ALPHA right? just report the bugs and dont instantly say it needs to be #1 on bu list and etc, just chill
