    Suggest Features/Report Bugs

Uses Permissions plugin to manage permissions (but is not required)

For simple set-up, give your users 'myhome.home.*'
and your moderators 'myhome.*' (includes myhome.admin and myhome.home.*)

    ...is Basic
Many server admins only want the very basics. MyHome delivers on that, and still gives the speed and reliability of using a SQLite database.

By only giving your users permission to myhome.home.basic.*, they will only be able to use the classic commands: /home and /home set.

Don't want your users to be able to jump home whenever they please? Only give them myhome.home.basic.set.

    ...is Social
However, sometimes your users will demand more. They'll want to invite their friends to their home, visit other peoples homes, and see whose home they can visit

Give your users myhome.home.soc.*, and they'll be able to do all of that.

    ...is Guiding
What's the purpose of everyone's compass pointing to some arbitrary spawn point?
I'll answer that for you: none.

MyHome will redirect your users' compass to point to their homes.

This opens up the possibility for a supplement to a near vanilla experience by disabling users' ability to /home to home, but allowing them to follow their compass back home.

Upon death, users will be respawned to their home point, rather than back to that global spawn point.

    ...is Restricting
You may be a server admin who doesn't want their users always /home'ing out of danger whenever they jolly-well-feel-like-it. MyHome allows you to set 'Warm Ups', 'Cool Downs', or both. You can set this in MyHome.settings. Or... if you don't care about these things, just leave their settings as default, which is off.

Warm Ups are the amount of time that it takes to send a player home after they use /home. So if you have a warm up time of 5 seconds; young Billy will have to evade that Creeper for 5 seconds longer before he's sent home after he hastily runs a /home command.

Cool Downs are the amount of time between which players can use the /home command. In this case, if you have a cool down of 1 minute, and Billy uses /home, he'll be sent home; however, he can't use the /home command again for another 1 minute.

For now, Warm Ups and Cool Downs are global, but once the Bukkit permissions/groups get more fleshed out, MH will have per user/group Warm Ups and Cool Downs.

    ...is Helpful
As an server administrator, your job is tough. MyHome works to make your job a little easier (within it's domain). As an administrator, you can warp to everyone's home. You can also bypass the cooldown and warmup limits set upon your users if you'd like; check in the MyHome.settings.

Transitioning from hMod? Have a homes.txt full of your users' homes? Use /home convert to import that into the MyHome database.

That is of course a problem, but as there is no general permission integrated at the moment there isn't much you can do about it, unless you try using one of the group permission plug-ins, but as I'm not using them myself I have no clue if they work with this plug-in.

    @Afforess @M3t @Intelli :
I definitely understand you guys wanting plain and simple; especially for Afforess, I love those near vanilla servers.
Once Bukkit gets permissions (I have a feeling they're coming pretty soon), I'll definitely be using those so that you can disable any of the different commands for any/all your users.

That's exactly what I was looking for. My server ( www.AtlantaMinecraft.com ) is 110% vanilla. The only plugins we use are Whitelist, and I need /home and /sethome. That's it!!

In the meantime, is there a stripped down version that only has /home and /sethome ?

I actually lost my home somehow, had the same problem as whoever else posted it, it said i didnt have a home. Thats was after a server restart running on build 50. I don't see a reason to update builds everytime a new one comes out unless it's something major. I'm running fine atm lol

@M3t : Yea I can post a stripped down version for now, I'll get one up later tonight.

@chill1977 and anyone else whose houses aren't saving: Make sure that you have the SQLite dependency set up and aren't getting any errors to the console. If that's not set up your houses won't save over server restart.

The only reason I have to update when new builds come out is because sometimes those builds change stuff that the plugin uses and breaks the plugin; so I have to update for the people who already upgraded. Otherwise I'll only update to add new features.

@DoritosMan : All you have to do is download the dependency library (a jar file) from the OP, and put that in the same folder as CraftBukkit.

@annowins : You need the dependency library installed.

@chill1977 : That means that it it isn't installed right. You should make sure that a file called exactly "sqlitejdbc-v056.jar" is in the folder.

    Edit:
@Jobsti : Yea, I like the lists and will get that in the next update

As I have stated, that exact file is in the same folder as craftbukkit, moving it to the plugin folder to try it there

ok now it is in the same folder as craftbukkit and the plugin folder and i got the same error, just so you know and we understand eachother, the file at the location on your main page here is the one in the folder, I am saying that so you know exactly what it is named and what .jar file i have in those locations
    --- merged: Jan 17, 2011 1:47 AM ---
ok I still have the same issue, i'm running this on xenon servers, it is saying Error loading org.sqlite.JDBC
not anything about the .jar file, could it be a problem with the connection outside the server? My server has sql setup in the lib files, is there anyway to use that instead of sqlite?
    --- merged: Jan 17, 2011 1:56 AM ---
I downloaded all the newest files to my pc and ran the server with no errors
    --- merged: Jan 17, 2011 2:10 AM ---
ok the problem was with the sql file, apparently the one i downloaded from the before wasnt the correct version or something because th size is totally different now, redownload the sql file and should be good

it looks like you have the sql in the wrong file or the bukkit version isnt compatible with the home version

I can verify that craftbukkit 63 works fine with the current build of myhome with the current sql downloaded from page 1 in the same folder as craftbukkit

Can you confirm that you're using 63?
