Invalid maximum heap size: . . .

    Trying to make a server and all I get is
    OS is 64
    Invalid maximum heap size: -Xmx4G
    The specified size exceeds the maximum representable size.
    Error: Could nor create the Java Virtual Machine.
    Error: A fatal exception occurred. Program will exit.
    press any key to continue . . .

    I should also clarify that when I set the memory to 2G is says
    Java HotSpot<TM> Client VM warning: ignoring option MaxPermSize=256M; support was removed in 8.0
    error occurred during initialization of VM
    Could not reserve enought space for object heap

    How much memory does your real pc (Presume thats what your trying it on) have ?? Also please show the full start command your using.

    i only have 8G of ram, And what do you mean by full start command? Sry I am not the best when it comes to these things.
