BoatBoost version 1.1 Features: Better steering GoldBlock boosts a boat by 8x, disabled by redstone power. GoldOre boosts a boat by 2x, disabled by redstone power. LapisLazuliBlock boosts a boat by the y-axis (makes it jump), disabled by redstone power. LapisLazuliOre boosts a boat by the y-axis (makes it jump, 1/2 height of LapisLazuliBlock), disabled by redstone power. SoulSand slows a boat to 1/8 speed, disabled by redstone power. Workbench slows a boat to 1/2 speed, disabled by redstone power. Iron Block ejects the passenger, disabled by redstone power. Wool reverses boat direction, disabled by redstone power. Unpowed Obsidian stops a boat Powered Obsidian launches a stopped boat WoodenPlank acts like a magnet to moving boats with no passenger (5 block radius, has to be at water height or water height +1) Boats that collide with animals/mobs will kill them To disable a block with redstone, indirectly power the block underneath the GoldBlock/etc Download BoatBoost v1.1 Source code: https://github.com/Redecouverte Changelog v1.1 - boats no longer get stuck that badly on ground - tuned steering on water - colliding with an empty boat will no longer make the own boat get stuck - blocks that influence a boat must now be at max 11 blocks underneath the boat v1.0 - first release
just to be sure... those blocks, plus a water block on top right? or just the pure block? Can I make like a block, 2 waters and the boat? Or only 1 block under?
it doesn't matter how deep the water is, the first non-water block under the boat matters though i might change that in the future, but you can be sure that it will always support a min of 10 blocks water on top of the block
Oh nice! Tested the plugin it works great! The only thing that sucks is those fucking boats getting stuck inside other blocks... But I guess there is nothing you can do about it right? Vanilla problem.
i have something in mind that could fix that problem a bit, will be included next release nice, that makes me happy you're welcome
I'm pretty sure you're my hero. I'll definitely try it out, but I don't know if I'll keep it. One of my players professes to enjoy the terribleness of the boat controls because, and I quote, "It makes sure you don't use boats all the time." Of this logic ("logic") I am very much skeptical.
Yl, can u make a video tutorial, if so I would gladdly put it on my account as well for more footage. I will soon be doing this to all the plugins I like, and I don't really get how u speen up the boat and stuff, but I'll figure it out.
So I just tried this out on my server. Worked really well! Expect Bugs: When trying to get out of boat when it is near wood, you get stuck. That's the only thing so far
Someone asked about a "boat track" plugin on plugins requests, and I think it would fit perfect this plugin here. What about if you place some kind of block on the botton (minetracks maybe, but the are destroyes by water yes, maybe another type) and the boat stucks on that track and cant get out of there, can just follow the track.
Nice! Sorry for saying anything after i replied on the request, but I really enjoy this plugin. I think you should speak with the guy who make SkyPirates(also use that) and maybe merge the plugins, would be pure awesomeness.
Can you please stop using " the stupidly long constructor redecouverte.boatboost.BoatBoost(PluginLoader, Server, PluginDescriptionFile, File, File, ClassLoader)" it "is no longer recommended."......"(Nothing is broken, we just like to keep code clean.)" Thanks. =)
