Tired of having to break each block of a tree individually? Running out of axes so fast to trees, so much that you're debating on making a diamond axe? This plugin is designed to help on those subjects, from destroying each column of wood individually, to harvesting an entire jungle with one swing of the axe.

By default, chopping a tree with your hand does not make the tree fall like this plugin makes it. You must use any axe for this to happen. The items you can chop a tree with can be configured in the config.yml.

There are four types of timber which can be chosen within the config.yml:
Timber Classic - Break wood with an axe and all the wood above it will fall.
    classic
Timber Full - Break all leaves and wood connected.
    full
Timber Full - No Leaves - Pretty self-explanatory. It's Timber Full without the leaves.
    full-noleaves
Timber With Leaves - Like Timber Classic, except destroys leaves.
    classic-leaves

    Server usage:
Classic is a great choice for a public survival server. Simple timber.
Classic with leaves isn't really a great idea for a public survival server. It destroys all leaves connected to the other leaves, which can cause a large chain.
Full without leaves is a fine idea for a public survival. Good for working with jungle trees and harvesting wood in large amounts.
Full is for massive destruction, which may lead the first player that joins your server to destroy all sources of wood anywhere near. This should only be used on private servers.

If you have any suggestions, bug reports, or any sort of thing, please tell me. Thanks!

Maybe I'm just a moron, but I cannot seem to get this plugin to work. I am using the classic for my server and the server log says it has been enabled and loaded... But it doesn't actually do anything. Any help with be great, thanks.

It seems to work for everyone else. Have you downloaded anything wrong? Make sure you got Timber.zip, and you drag the jar of which type you want into your plugins folder.

I'm still waiting for the new version to be "approved", so there aren't any config files yet. I'll go ahead and put up a temporary download to the newer version right here.

A couple of suggestions that I have for this plugin and it would be awesome if you could implement some of them.:

    1) Toggle able option that controls wether your axe takes extra damage w/ using this instead of just taking damage for just that one piece of wood

    2) Binding the plugin to specific item(s)

    3) A permissions node for being to use Timber.

    4) A way to enable/disabe plugin (w/ a permissions node)

    1. That seems complicated, but I'll see what I can do.
    2. I don't know much of what you mean by that. The new config lets you change which items can be used. Do you mean to where you can type /timber or some other command and it's binded to what you're holding?
    3. This has been planned for a while. It'll come in the next update.
    4. So will this.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I made the mistake of not having all the proper files. Also when can we expect support for the ironaxe. That seems to be the favored ax on my server.

Is there any Key that I can press for cutting only one piece of wood?

And this modes would be more "realistic":
Classic Full - Break all pieces of Wood connected above the cutted block.
Classic Full Leaves - Break all pieces of Wood & Leaves connected above the cutted block.

I mean this versions would be more like a falling Tree ;D but its only an idea ;D

@Pulse44: to set the config to full without leaves you must type into the config file:

    #timber-type: full-noleaves

    RTFM ;D

Is this plugin have any permissions? I guess stupid PermissionsBukkit is requied them, because it work on clean server (without any plugins or mods for testing), but doesn't on my normal server.

Damage needs to be applied for every broken log, leaf, etc. Diamond axes already last long enough.

Hey all, I am having a pretty big issue with this. For some reason whenever I break the tree with and axe I am force logged off the server and it says "Internal Server Error". Could this be because I am using it with tekkit?
