    would be handy,
    after bringing my server down for the third time (see above for why) i need to rethink my wholeminecart stoarage system
    either need to ditch the idea and use a lot of chests or control intersections and cart launchers with buttons.... thinking maybe with false book and wireless redstone circuits i could have a storage minecart launched past a specific chest per button and ditch the contents into another chest thats at easy access to me

    though to be honest a simple one way only track or a nocliping for storage carts would fix all my woes ...ah man noclipping would be perfect! looks up at the sky oh great afforess please noclipping for carts sign!

    sorry old term from doom days lol

    basicly it means the object is not solid and can pass through others so in this case the minecarts would be able to go through each other and there fore not bump into each other and then change direction which is the root problem with my set up (they bump into one another then amass in a corner, 20 or so bumping into each other and occupying the same square causes my server to cry

    I can sort of picture your point. I am running a private server so a lot (read that as most) of my track is single track. It would be nice if a storage cart moving from place to place could pass through another cart from the opposite direction and not crash into it and bounce back. I am waiting for Afforess to fix the issue where I send a storage cart from a distant location back to a main storage location and it never gets there. I had though about converting all of my single track lines to dual track but that would take a really long time.

    Hi everyone. I'm having trouble with the MM plugin. I installed Core, Admin, Signs, and Stations. That's it. When I try and build a track (it's actually my first time doing so) it behaves erratically. I build a straight 16-piece track section, with a block at each end. I push it a bit, hop on, and then hit the block at the other end. The problem is, that's about all I can do.

    When I get out of the cart, first of all, it "teleports" me way back to the first part of my track, where I got on. Second, my minecart is "stuck" in the block it ran into. I can't push it back, I cant get in, and I cant destroy it. If I destroy the block, the cart keeps moving past the tracks, until it hits something else. Very weird. I opened up the server log, and found some weird things. It's some form of this error statement, repeated over and over. Any help???

    Oh sorry for not being clear but What i have in my situation is a storage system on the bottom of my building 30X40 holding 90 large chests.

    Then above that i want to have some auto furnace systems to convert stone sand ores and maybe make logs into planks 1 day. above that auto layer i have farms the farms supply fuel tot he auto layer and i need to send the ores cobble and sand from the storage up to the auto level so you see i need to make sure that. the fuel Carts dont get mixed with the ore carts else i cant send them back to where they started.

    I'm not sure I totally follow but in my system so far, I have several loops of track. One loop to collect Logs and put then into a single storage chest one loop to collect Sugar Cane and put that into another storage chest and another loop to collect Wheat and put it into another storage chest. Then I have another loop to go the opposite direction on the other side of the chests to collect items. This takes the items to storage. The growing layer is above the collection and production layer.

    My setup is NOT pretty. As a programer, I tend to get the principle down first and it all working and then work on pretty.

    yer im just trying to handle the 2 Inputs coming into my auto layer

    And both passing the same furnace to put stuff in
    not an easy task

    I only have one storage cart on each loop feeding the furnaces. It picks up items from some chests and drops them off at the furnace and picks them up from there and drops them off to another storage location. I'm not saying what I have if perfect. It is not at all. It is not pretty or nice looking. I call it my production floor. It is in a really large building with 10 floors and only 1 block between floors so no room to hide redstone. I just wanted to do proof of concept before trying to make it look better.

    I would love to show you my set up its all pretty as i do it. Iv not even started On the Auto Layer In My SMP server where I'm actually building it all legit Iv been testing things with a Mock up system on my free build server and sadly thats white listed and is pay to play so that sucks a bit.

    So it looks like we're both using WorldGuard/WorldEdit, LWC, Dynmap, and CraftBook. I have a sneaking suspicion that it's Dynmap, so I'll deactivate it and see what happens.

    Clearly you did not read 2 well cause i said my testing server way pay to play my smp is free

    I have 2... 1 Free 1 Paid. The payed has unlimited items so its good for testing stuff on. The free you earn every thing.

    My server runs everything there except LWC. I've heard other players mentioning issues with item dupes when running LWC as well. Try disabling that.

    Okay, I'm getting this issue again. It seems that, for no particular reason at all, in some areas of the map Minecart Mania simply... doesn't work. MM-related functionality simply ceases to exist in these areas, whereas in other parts of the same map it works fine. No errors show up, and... yeah. It's like minecart mania is simply not installed if you're busy in those chunks.

    As a small aside, the two times this has happened, they've been in areas where I've altered the map using WorldEdit - could this be related?

    More testing shows that once the chunk is unloaded serverside and then reloaded, the problem goes away.

    Observed a little problem with obsidian catcher/launcher blocks.

    I'm using the following plugins:

    I'm using an obsidian catcher/launcher block in my station designs which is connected to a "launch" button using redstone. I have put a redstone torch directly under the obsidian block and use a standard 2x1 "downstairs" redstone/torch connection for the button. The obsidian block has a sign containing "Launch South" in the first line directly attached to its side. there are no other signs within a 2 block range. It doesn't really matter into which direction the obsidian block launches, just using this as an example.
    When the obsidian is not occupied by a minecart and unpowered it catches an approaching minecart just fine. Also launches it again just fine.
    However if the currently caught minecart (let's call it cart A) is bumped by another minecart (cart B) things go strange. Cart B is reflected into the opposite direction as expected. However Cart A starts creeping forward at a slow pace until it is almost off the obsidian block. If you try to launch it by pressing the launch button and thus powering the redstone below the obsidian block nothing happens. If the cart is about 50% off the obsidian block and you bump it from behind again with cart B (or another cart C) the obsidian block will catch the new cart B (or C) and launch off cart A at the speed of cart B (or C).

    i don't use a button to launch, but i have a chest dispenser which dumps a cart onto an obsidian block with a hold for sign on it. if i spam the button to dispense carts then i see the first part of your problem: cart B is bounced back (and goes back in the chest) and cart A begins to creep forward slowly.
    only difference for me is that at the end of the hold for period, the cart is propelled as normal.

    Uh some 1 help me out with this station block sign please Im really confused SOO

    Here is what i am trying to do I have carts Heading East Into the station block I have a line to the south and a Line Straight Ahead And A redstone torch under the stationblock connected to a lever. What i want is if the redstone is on for it to go South If its off i want it to continue straight. It seems this is not posibal because the sign.

    EDIT LULZ I BE STUPID AT TIMES I keep trying to use torches at outputs to blocks.... Changed it to dust and every thing works. Maybe you should Put a message when a redstone torch is under a block informing them it should be dust to interact with the block. just once.

    I'm hoping for the /st-setting signs/portals to be implemented soon. That way you can encode carts and filter them using station blocks.

    But if you use some smart timing, I think you should be able to do what you want by sending the carts in opposite directions along the furnaces. Then use either station blocks with direction settings, or just plain track 'bending' to split entry from exit on both sides of the furnaces. Actually, even with the station block to merge/split track (based on portal-set /st values) you need to time the entry tracks somehow, no carts will collide.

    I also experienced this problem and i sipmly added a sensor:0000 a few blocks away from the obsidian block. When a minecart comes in the station the minecart currently standing on the obsidian block gets launched and goes over a station block which says player: west empty:north. north leads to the dispenser chest.

    This way the minecart launches back in the chest and the incomming minecart gets caught.

    Sorry if someone asked this already but I couldn't find this in the Minecart Mania wiki and 122 pages is a lot to scan through XD.

    I want to make a storage center that organizes itself, but making the signposts for the initial deposit box takes a LOT of room... Is there a way to make the chest just accept all items without putting in the item ID? Like saying ..

    I'm not sure if this is an MM problem or a conflict somewhere... but using a cart to deposit cactus into a furnace to be smelted into dye, and then having it pick the dye back up and put it in a chest sometimes turns the "Cactus Green" into black ink.

    I thought I had the method to duplicate it down but it seems very inconsistant. It seems like it happens if the first stack of green ink fills up and it goes to make a second stack. That second stack turns black. If I move the complete stack somewhere off the top row of the chest it starts making green ink again.
