SheepGrow Description:The SheepGrow Server Plugin is the best way to create a Sheep Farm. With it a Sheep has a chance to regrow. And because in Minecraft 1.8 Animals do not despawn, Sheep farms now became real.Supported CraftBukkit Revision: #1185Download:HereChangelog:Revision 1:Implement Basic WoolGrow System
Look at the changelog at minecraftwiki.net: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Version_history "Animals no longer despawn which makes it possible to capture them."
However, if the chuck they are in unloads then they "despawn". As it would take to much ram and hard drive space to store all those entities and load them from level.dat.
I tested it right now. Sure the wool is not regenerated when the chunk is not loaded, but the position and state of the sheep is saved. I stopped the server too, so the chunks are sure unloaded I turned it back online and my went back to my farm. The sheep was sitting in place as i left the farm
Formatting note: In this thread's title, the build number (1185) should be in brackets without a number sign.
title missing version, CB tag not in brackes, post lacks any formatting (like bold sections) also, when did sheep stop regrowing, I used to have that few versions back
Just what I was looking for. Haven't tried it yet, but I will. I have a question, though. In which color wool is regrown, is it just white or can it be some other natural occurring color (grey, dark grey, black, brown, pink)? And, will the sheep that had black wool regrow black wool again, or if I painted it red will it regrow red?
Colored sheep will stay colored, so when the fur regrows, the color would be the same like before. I wrote also a plugin like this (http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/me...heir-coat-after-a-while-sheepfarm-1240.38222/) and since them, you can find cyan and red sheeps in the world, ready to be farmed. PS: Yes, sheeps in unloaded chunks cannot regain their fur, I had this problem too, but solved it last monday.
As mentioned above, the CB version must be in brackets. And the version of the plugin needs to be before the description. Title should look a bit like this: [MECH/MISC] SheepGrow 0.1 - Wool Regrow Plugin! [1185] Also, the topic doesn't fit all the criteria. This just needs an overall fix.
