What is Buycraft, and why does my Minecraft server need it?

Buycraft enables you to sell in game items/memberships to your community, allowing yourself to fund your server bills to keep your Minecraft server alive. Buycraft is basically an online shopping cart system for your own server!

How will my players use Buycraft?

After you have created a Buycraft account, you are given an online webstore which you can use to promote your items for sale. Your players will visit this website and be able to purchase the items that they want, be it a collection of armour, or a monthly VIP membership. Depending on what you enable, your players will be able to pay you via many different methods, such as Paypal.

What can I sell to my users, and how?

Buycraft enables you to sell ANYTHING to your users, from a collection of armour upgrades, to monthly VIP memberships. When a player purchases a product, it is automatically processed on your Minecraft server, and removes all hassle of managing payments by yourself. All these different options will take the worry out of funding your Minecraft server.

Which payment gateways do you support?

We allow you to sell goods to your players via Paypal.com, OneBip.com, Payza.com, 2Checkout.com, Paymentwall.com and PayGol.com. We also support PaySafeCard!
You can also sell your items through an online webstore! For an example: https://example.buycraft.net

This is pretty cool lol. Definitely going to use this. Highly interesting plugin. Is it possible to have a Currency changer in the actual package setup instead of just gbp?

@lmc hmm ERROR! I have a real account, I payed for, and my server is in online mode, however when I type /buy 1 (Yes I set up a mob spawner package) it says "Non premium account"
What does this mean??

Our systems relies on mimecrafts web servers to check for name validity, that message appears when minecrsfts servers are not responding, just keep trying. feel free to reveiw the plugin

iconomy support, so people can get in game money instead of items

and ability to make ranges

so if anyone:
spends 0.01 - 1.00 they get X
spends 1.0. - 5.00 they get X and X or X
etc...

Out of curiosity, what is the purpose of having your service being hosted separately and externally? Is there a profit motive to your enterprise? I would think that developing a set of configurable php files along with your BuyCraft plugin would be much more customizable, almost as simple, and just as effective as your current setup. On top of this, you would be able to save on server costs. (If you hoped to profit from advertisements, etc, I see why you have BuyCraft set up this way and I understand )

The reason it is external is for simplicity and easy of use for us to push updates out. We run upon codeigniter what can be hard to setup for some users. any profit made goes back into the plugin.

Dotpay has very high transaction fees for the server owner and i feel that users will be charged high amounts. no sms will ever be added.

In all honesty, as a server owner, I'd be willing to take any donation no matter what fees are associated with it. So what if they take a couple bucks... I'm not gonna deny my membe a diamond kit because some of the moneywas lost... A donation is still a donation.

I understand where you are coming from, but from previous experiences SMS services are just not worth the hassle, however if we get alot of requests for it, i will add it. At the moment im focusing on multi currency support and some other awsome features

The paypal IPN is secured with a 128 bit encryption between us and paypal, so no harm there. Everything is worked out, dont worry

Multi currency support and a global message system when someone donates is being updated on the website, downtime is expected at 17:25 GMT + 1 and should last for around 10 minutes, thanks for your time. A plugin update is also required, info in the post will be updated once the update has been successful

WoW pretty cool idea.
Is their any legal repercussions for the server owner to be selling items. The whole /buy thing could lead to some issues. If it all said donate and not buy might be able to get away with it in the long run
