Did some work on that - give latest 0.38 development build a try. Hopefully, it should help.

For the markers layer, use the command /dmarker updateset id:markers hide:true

That sounds like a conflict with another plugin - do you have Factions, HeroChat, or some other chat-manipulating mod?

    Do you have Dynmap-Towny installed?

Your probably on a leased server, and another server on the box already grabbed port 8123 - you'll need to set our port in configuration.txt to another port number, and you may need to have the hoster open the port on their firewall.

Set 'offlinehidebydefault' to true, and 'spawnbedhidebydefault' to true.

Made sure everything was updated, but still no luck, I'm afraid. All the maps do show up properly in the sidebar. If I change the tiles/markers setting to point directly to the tiles folder, it works. Just not the php file.

    @servili007
Nope, still nothing, but that's probably because the code was changed in the dev version.

I have exactly the same problem with dynmap 0.37 / 0.38. Dynmap markers are gone and WorldGuard regions do not show up anymore (tried with Dynmap-WorldGuard 0.16 and 0.17). Spawn Point does also not show up anymore.

Server log does not show any errors, also Dynmap-WorldGuard is loaded fine.

Rolling back to dynmap 0.36.3 fixed it.

Here's my configuration.txt which works perfectly well with 0.36.3: http://pastebin.com/jM4AjSTr

Well if it stopped working it had to have worked in the first place meaning dynmap towny is installed

Right, I'm sure this has been asked about 500+ times in the past, and I'm sure the answer is going to be blindly obvious, but how do I get the add-ons (Dynmap-Factions etc) to work?

I would try search throughout the topic, but bukkit's "Topic Search" doesn't actually limit the search to this topic.

Oh gawd I feel like such a noob asking for this. xD

Actually, no - depending on how old your previous build was: we used to have integrated towny support, before it was split off into its own module.

They SHOULD work by default by just adding them in to the plugins folder (extract the ZIP, restart the server), given that dynmap is there, as well as the associated plugin (Factions, etc). You should see appropriate messages in server.log for the adapter.

Hello, I am wondering if anyone has made a tutorial or can make one for hosting a Dynmap on Servercraft.co ?

    Riiiight, still doesn't like me.

I'm attempting to use Dynmap-Factions/Worldguard/Commandbook, all of the respective plugins are present and fully functional, it just seems to not want to work for me.

(Currently testing the map via XAMPP locally, 127.0.0.1:8123)

Maybe I'm missing something from the config.......?

EDIT: If it helps, I'm currently running my server on Mac OS 10.6.8, but will be moving it to a Linux type server on AmazonAWS once I've sorted shiz out.

Built the exact configuration you described, down to the build number, and used your configuration.txt "as is", and it worked fine. Probably need you to PM me your server URL.

I don't see any errors. When I set the path to the php file, the access log looks like it is asking for the proper data:

    Code:
    72.81.129.49 - - [26/Apr/2012:18:39:16 -0400] "GET /map/standalone/tiles.php?tile=world/n_se_day/12_-12/zzzzzzz_384_-384.jpg&ts=1335479965713 HTTP/1.1" 200 167

But, as you can see here, the tiles simply do not show.

    @Mike Primm,

    I located the problem.

The config.js stores the tiles path as "standalone/tiles.php?tile=". The tiles.php file sets the default tiles path to "../tiles". Unfortunately this means that you end up with a path that looks like this "dynmapwebfolder/tilesworld/map/tile.ext". In other words, you are missing the slash between the tiles folder and the world folder.

So, you can modify the config.js to "standalone/tiles.php?tile=/", change the default stored location to "../tiles/" or change the code where it concatenates the string to "$fname = $tilespath . '/' . $path;". Any of these options ought to work.

Spout Blocks don't like being seen in Dynmap 0.36 or 0.37. I have to use /dynmap reload to get them to show.
(PaintedStone, StainedGlass, Egyptian Stone, Pavement). I always get this on first start-up:
    Code:
09:58 AM [INFO] [dynmap] Enabling dynmap v0.37-1120
09:58 AM [INFO] [dynmap] Using PermissionsEx 1.19.1 for access control
09:58 AM [INFO] [dynmap] Detected Spout
09:58 AM [INFO] [dynmap] Loaded 0 Spout custom blocks
09:58 AM [INFO] [dynmap] Loaded 19 shaders.
This happens using pretty much any 1.25 CB version and any version of SpoutPlugin. (Presently using I am using CB 2167/Spout 1134). When I reload, I see 10:02 AM [INFO] [dynmap] Loaded 97 Spout custom blocks and it works fine.

I work in tech support for the local telephone company. There may be another reason for this. If you are not using a leased server then it is possible that you have what's known as a NAT'd IP. In otherwords think of your ISP as having a big router. The use one main IP and hand out NAT'd IPs much the same way your router hands out NAT'd IPs to your own equipment. Try going to whatsmyip.org. Write down the IP it gives you. Next open up a command prompt window (cmd.exe) and run an ipconfig. If your IP here does not match the one whatsmyip.org gave you, then you are more than likely assigned a NAT'd IP. If this is the case, you can do as Mike suggested and simply try to find a port not already in use or contact your ISP and see if they have a way to get you a public IP address.

You listed that you are using "Dynmap-Factions/Worldguard/Commandbook" but you do not mention that you have the main dynmap plugin installed. If you do not have it installed you need to have the main dynmap plugin installed as it is the core plugin. the Dynmap-Factions is just an add-on for Dynmap. If you do have Dynmap (the core part) installed what version are you using? If you have not updated the core to the same version as the add-on that could be your problem there.

Could you add MySQL support for the render data? I had to stop using the plugin because the render data got way to big.

Are you using tiles.php without the login support being enabled? Just trying to understand why $tilespath doesn't have a value. Good catch, in any case.

Looks like a permissions issue - or something is locking those files externally - how are you set to serve you tiles (internal, or external web server (and which one))?

That will not make it smaller - actually, it'd probably be bigger (bytewise) - just in fewer files.

I'll take a look - sounds like a load order problem. Do the other mods load before or after us (message order in the server.log)?
