    **** Hey folks - just got back from vacation last night (although I'm still pretty jet lagged - 30 hour days kinda suck). In any case, I'll be taking a look at how dynmap is doing with the recent CraftBukkit RBs, and may do a quick update tonight if anything particularly bad is going on.

    I'm probably NOT going to be reviewing all the posts on this thread in the past 3 weeks - I see that @Sketaful and others had been helping folks (thanks!!), and I don't want to waste time trying to sort out which folks have or have not been taken care of. If you have an unanwered question or issue prior to this post, feel free to repost it if you'd like me to give it a look.

    Also, if any of the expert users out there know of some actual problems that have cropped up, particularly due to the last 2 RBs, please post me to let me know what I should be looking at. ****

    This is a re-post of a question I had. Is there any way to force glowstone lamps to render in "On" position for a night view? Currently all of our town lighting is on a light sensor and when the map was rendered it was day time so at night everything is off.

    Fantastic job on the addon... Don't know what I would do without it.

    LOL - 19 days of travelling: London, Paris, Munich, Rome, and day trips to lots of other places (Stonehenge, Salzburg, Pompeii, Florence, Schwangau, Bath, etc) :) We had a Euro-Rail pass, and made the most of it! AMAZING trip, but I'm back at the office trying to remember what I do for a living now! :) Saw LOTS of sites that are some serious "Minecraft inspiration" material ;)

    An option to make the glowstone glow is tricker than it seems - we use the server-generated lighting data to figure out how to light things. Making the glowstone look like it is on is simple enough, but getting the results of it being lit on the surrounding blocks presents problems.

    Ok done the rerenders bunch of times now. Flat view fine, cave view fine. Surface/3-d view not fine. SO y :*(

    0.39 doesnt work it says files what ever dont match but 0.38 works but then i cant get the chat to work i can talk to them but i can see what they say to me... any help?

    This is why I need to get that page up so I only have to post the link... :p

    When you update you need to unpack the full zip including the folder named dynmap and overwrite all files in the old folder.

    Your welcome. But it's Sketaful, not Skateful. Sketaful means "buttugly" in Swedish (well, it has the sam meaning, word for word it's shitugly :p). It's an old name from a time long ago when I actually played wow. Named all my characters swedish names that described them and my main was an Orc which really are buttugly :p

    I did but when i open the page in the browser it says Web files are not matched with plugin version: All files need to be the same (0.039-1163) see for your self http://mcexoticcraft.no-ip.org:8123

    Update your browsers cache. Try pressing F5. The old page is saved in the browsers cache. Map qworks fine for me when I check it :)

    Hello there!
    I love your plugin, it's really useful, but on my new server it doesn't work. Port 8123 is open, and there is no error in the log. But when I visit my_server_ip:8123 I just get this:

    Directory: /

    tiles/ 0 bytes Jun 8, 2012 12:13:54 AM

    What can I do about it? I tried reinstalling but it didn't help.

    @Mike Primm Have you ever thought about how well your little included webserver works? I came to think about it when I clicked one of the many many links posted when people asked why it says "Directory:/".

    Even after dynmap is up and running correctly the tiles folders are browsable. That makes it easy to just put an extra folder in there if you want to share a file or something. :p

    It said there isn't other ports available by default and I needed a support ticket. There is already a server running under my IP and I was hoping there was another port I could use.

    I have a suggestion.

    I work with WorldEdit and dynmap can't keep up with huge area changes. I'd like to use the map to tell dynmap which tiles to rerender. So that you log in into an admin account and click the tiles to rerender, and they get marked with a 30%white overlay or something. After completing the selection the server gets the Signal to rerender the selected tiles.

    2nd idea to accomplish this:
    Everybody can select tiles (so no admin account needed), and the browser gives you something like the painterlypack "password" as output. This output tells dynmap which tiles to rerender. You then put this output into a textfile on your minecraft server (so only an admin can use this feature), and type in a command like /dynmap txtrender or something. Then Dynmap reads the txt file and queues the tiles given.

    Hey I just wanted to know if there is such a thing where you can get a DynMap and save that world and use it on a world generator such as WorldPainter or something to recreate the Map using DynMap to play with Singleplayer?

    Not that I know of - I'm hoping to get to supporting single player stuff as part of supporting the 'official' API (since the MC code is being restructured so that single player is really the same as running multiplayer with your own local server, as I understand it).

    Or just run the render command from ingame when you've built something. You do know you can do that, right? Not a full rendering of the hole map but a rendering. From where you are and X blocks wide in all directions.

    Hello, my dynmap chat goes through to my server, but when people type in the server it dont show in dynmap, like theres no speach bubbles or chat showing...i use factions.
    pls help.
