I am not aware of such thing as Essential Signs, but for LWC I can not say anything. I have no sql so I am not able to test it out, please try to find out yourself!

And...this wasn't possible before? I do it all the time without a problem...I don't understand how we all of a sudden need a plugin to do this? This plugin looks great but I just don't see the point because I seem to be misunderstanding something about it...

Uhm... you know what happens when you try to place a sign on a chest? Exactly, you open it.

I make that but when i RIGHT click with sign i open chest.. I don't use LWC only bukkit.

    I don't right click on the chest... Here's a diagram to help understand: C = Chest, B = Block, T = Torch, - = empty
    C-T
    B-B
I just right click on the side of the torch facing the chest and the sign attaches to the chest, much like with torches. It's the whole 'acceptable' surface vs 'non-acceptable' surface thing.

Oh I see. That's much better than using this plugin.

    I used sarcasm.
He said there's already a way to do that with ingame-mechanics without using your plugin and he also described how to do it.

Joeyy, if you cannot understand what he meant, I have written this down on how it works.
What he was saying was that there is a glitch that forces the sign to be placed on the chest because of 3 reasons:
1: He placed it on the torch, but as it is a non-solid object, it cannot be placed there.
2: He did not right-click the ground, so it cannot be placed there.
3: As of 1 and 2, it is forced to place on the chest, as it is the only solid object available (if there wasn't one, then it wouldn't be placed).
The torch can be any other non-solid object (even another sign) and the chest can be any other solid block as well.

In SMP you can place a sign on another sign, but you can't in SSP.

Anyway, back on topic: Does this allow attaching signs to other surfaces, like glass?

I will update this so you can also stick it only glass, furnace, dispenser and workbench!

    Version 1.2

    • Added permissions support

    • Added more types of container + glass to attach signs to

I'm sorry sir you are the dummy of the day.

First as stated in this topic already you can place a sign on glass by default in minecraft secondly YOU CAN place a SIGN on another SIGN in SSP and SMP I just went and tested it in my SSP it still works.

As for SMP i used it in my mob trap just a week ago so unless that's changed ( I doubt it) that still works as well.
