Not allowed to check dev.bukkit url for updates??

    Dear,

    My plugin cmdBook was rejected. My one year old updater code checks for updates on dev.bukkit.org to find the latest update, the reason I do this instead of the curse api is because I want to fetch some extra information from the dev.bukkit project page (update description, change log,..).. The submission guidlines state:

    It doesn't say I HAVE to use the curse api, just that I can't check on an external site.
    So my question is: Am I allowed to check for updates on the main project page on dev.bukkit?

    If you read further down:
    The part you quoted may not say that you have to use the curse api, but this does. So that pretty much answers your question I guess.
