For some reason some people will lag really badly when they enter my server. But a lot of players wont. The 6-8 regulars I have sometimes get a little lag here and there but thats normal. But it seems like 8 out 10 players that join my server (excluding the regulars) will lag super bad. I run the server with 6 of the 8 GB of ram I have available, and its straight off my computer which Ive been slowly making more and more for gaming and is already good enough to run any game with max video settings and get no lag. I also upgraded my router and adapter (which are both dual-band) I also have anti-lag plugins like nolagg. And as of recently its being ran straight off my IP and not through hamachi. So could it be my server or is it more or less likely the new people joining are using janky computers?
Well, if you're playing ga,es on it while running the server that's not going to work well. You haven't posted your internet speeds from speedtest but that would be the next thing that would come to mind
