Hello, I am a new server owner and I have no idea at all as to how to set up a permission plugin, and before you instantly say "IDIOT!" I have read all the tutorials and I still don't under stand how to set up permissions with it. I want to know if someone with a server currently could send me their Permission Plugin through email or just give me a list of permissions?
Well, first off, you're in the wrong section. -_- You're looking for "Bukkit Help". Half of that forum is permissions-related, so you're not alone. Once you go over there and post, don't post this exact same thing. You need to give your permission plugin and your current file. Someone sending over their file isn't going to help you that much, and I don't think many people do. Once you give your plugin, and the configuration, people can help you decipher why it isn't working. You're probably making a simple mistake, like using tabs or not spacing it out correctly.
Please make it a habit to post your sources. I find it hard to believe you've looked up "all the tutorials" or even just a few. Considering how long permissions have existed, there must be some good tutorials out there. Please explain to me, why my tutorial would be any better than theirs, if you don't understand it?
For one I suggest GroupManager from Essentials, not PEX, but I suggest trying both, as it is a personal preference. Now I understand, when I tried to learn permissions I had no idea how to do it even after tutorials, but it does get easier. Check 'Bukkit Help' for help
Ok, but still, this is the wrong forum. I was just giving an example. It also didn't help that you didn't give us the name of the plugin, the faulty file, and the sources that you used to learn...
