Pre 1.6 map needs wild grass regenration/population

    Please help. I have a pre 1.6 map that has a 2048x2048 border. Obviously it's missing any tall grass, except for the sparse patches where bonemeal has been used.

    What I'd really like to do is regenerate the entire map, with the same seed, so tall grass can be added. Something akin to worldedit and //regen. Is there any way to do this with mcedit/script/addon/jar/whatever making sure user structures are not damaged? I'd even settle for something to randomly add the tall grass based on distance, percentage or biome.

    I realize i may have to take the server down and use a lot of CPU cycles to achieve this. This doesn't bother me.

    I've searched a bit and have not found any sufficient information regarding this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I have a map from 1.3 and we have tons of tall grass everywhere. The trick is you need to grow a few unnaturally and then it should spread. You don't need to regenerate anything.

    Hmmm weird. I'm pretty sure its not a plugin I use. Anyways...
