Hey, I've got my own private server, which I'm currently hosting on my own pc. This server, only used by my friends, has never caused any problems, until today. I always use "localhost" to connect to my server, so I didn't notice there was a problem at first, until my friend told me he couldn't enter my server anymore. The minecraft launcher told him te folowing: "Failed to connect to the server. Connection refused: Connect" While this happens often, I checked if everything was running properly, if the ports were still forwarded as they should be, and if I maybe deleted something important from the craftbukkit folder. Nothing helped. After searching the internet for a solution, I tried to reboot my router, Re-instal the whole server, change the maps, change the settings, but nothing worked. I am too not able to connect to the server using my IP, I can only connect using "localhost". Please help me out here! Ruben Pc info: Running windows 7, 32 bit system. Java: Build 1.6.0_26-B03 No wrappers Craftbukkit version: "Implementation-Version: git-Bukkit-0.0.0-966-g158a1e4-b1043jnks" Minecraft version 1.7.3 Still need help ^^ EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
Hello, alright so i had the same problem this morning and i found a fix as it has happened to me many times, your port forwarder may be forwarded to an incorrect ip this can be caused by another device sharing the same internet connecting to the router before your main computer does, go to your routers site and check ur DHCP reservation and make sure you forwarded your ports to the correct ip. Hope this helps!
I'm quite a noob at that area, so I'm not sure, but I believe the ports are correctly forwarded, using the correct IP. These configurations I'm using at this moment have always worked for me. Why should they suddenly be wrong? Thanks for your help though.
The external IP is still the same. Internal Ip can't be changed right? Please proof me wrong, then I've got a solution ^^
Easy way to check your internal network ip is start, run, cmd, ipconfig. In the list printed out should be your current local ip address. Mine is listed here as 192.168.1.142
A few minutes ago I did exactly that. I found that it had changed from 192.168.1.105 to 192.168.1.103. After that it was easy to repair. Could you please be so kind to log in to my server? So I know it's fully repaired. Ip: ▓▓.▓▓▓.▓▓.▓▓ Thanks for all your help. This tread can now be closed. Ruben
