Plugin category: Admin Tools Suggested name: ToughAnvils What I want: I’d like a plugin in which, through the use of a command (example below), an anvil would become unbreakable/indestructible from breaking due to constant player use to repair their items. This would be used to help me not have to replace public anvils in the spawn and respective areas. Ideas for commands: /setanvil - Command would “select” the anvil and make it unbreakable. Ideas for permissions: toughanvil.use - Basic admin permission, default to OP. When I'd like it by: ASAP. This project wouldn’t require much coding. Literally 1 Java Class at best.
WorldGuard? Factions? It seems like what your asking is already avaliable. I also do not see the point in protecting singular blocks.
Worldguard does not contain a flag to prevent the loss of durability, neither does factions. These plugins only protect players from BREAKING anvils, I'm talking about the BREAKING of anvils from the use of repairing items. TR;DR : Repair BREAKING, not BREAKING
He didn't mean to protect the block, he meant to it doesn't auto-breaks after X uses. I don't know if it's possible, but maybe it is
Thought I appreciate that, that plugin has already been used by me and doesn't even load as the plugin.yml is bugged. Even after fixing the plugin.yml, the plugin still does not perform what it is supposed to do.
The first comment on the bukkit page for the plugin discusses my issue, the developer has not responded at all.
The project was created back in August, there has been no response by the developer or updates since. I sincerely doubt he/she is continuing this project.
I have plugins from 2012 which I still update if needed... He probably just doesn't sees the comments. He was online 1 hour ago, I doubt it that he won't see the PM
RRServer try my plugin InfiniteAnvils. There's a facing bug I'm going to fix, but this should help. dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/infinteanvils/
In the mean time, you could think about an alternative design to your public anvil(s). You can make a sort-of "anvil dispenser". Anvils will fall due to gravity when the block under them disappears. So if you place a bunch of anvils vertically, and only allow the bottom one to be visible, when it breaks, the tower of anvils above it, will drop down and a new one will be available. -Peas
doing this now. Testing found some bugs, will try to get them fixed this afternoon and get you links to dev builds. so after more research with metalhedd on the issue I was having it would appear as though a bukkit bug is currently making this not work. The bug is that there isn't an inventory holder on AnvilInventory anymore. metalhedd is working on a patch for bukkit that could potentially fix the issue, if they accept it. I actually have this fully working now, it took some NMS trickery, but it's pretty solid. https://github.com/andrepl/ToughAnvils/ coming soon to bukkitdev I suppose. http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/toughanvils/ still waiting for approval EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
