So Minecon is over, and we all had a blast! Between giving random autographs, helping out lots of people with issues, and explaining why bukkit isn't out yet, we were working on updating bukkit live at our booth for people to come watch! We also had a panel during the first day, which was really scary but also lots of fun for all of us. We initially wanted to split it into three parts - intro, Q&A and then twitter Q&A for those who couldn't join us in person, but unfortunately there just wasn't enough time as we had so many great questions to answer. Unfortunately again we also only had one mic, so the sound quality isn't as awesome as we'd like, but we're working on getting subtitles/captions up soonish to help clear up anything you can't hear For those who are curious, the team members are, in order from left to right: EvilSeph, Dinnerbone, Grum, and Tahg. Introduction to Bukkit (YT) Q&A Part 1 (YT) Q&A Part 2 (YT) Q&A Part 3 (YT) Q&A Part 4 (YT)
Would someone be typing them out? Some of the talking is hard to hear and I just cant make out some of the Questions and Answers. BTW, its nice to be able to put faces to names :3 (I feel like I should be asking when Bukkit will be out )
@EvilSeph did a nice job, Nerve Racking? I would be Speechless @Dinnerbone , Where can I get a nice Polo Shirt like that? xD
lol u guys seemed really nervous up there i was really surprised how many people showed up to ur panel great job
rand(1,100)% done! I honestly can't. If you want an arbitrary figure that really doesn't mean anything, let's go with 80%.
I get that the painting landscapes and other objects is flashy, as is animation. But those are tools for the minority, server administrators and those who lack the patience to build something epic the hard way (by collecting resources and not killing yourself falling off your scaffolds). I was disappointed that you guys didn't highlight some of the Bukkit plugins which have greater impact - the potential to improve the Minecraft experience for all players, especially on multiplayer. Lockette, WorldGuard, PopulationDensity, and other tools to stop grief, reduce loneliness, and increase server reliability and performance. Anyway that aside, thanks SO much guys for this awesome platform! It feels good to be a part of a community and contribute to something I have passion for.
yey! i'm the bearded blue shirt fellow in the front left row recording you kids the whole time on twitch.tv/curleys . so glad you were at minecon, made the whole thing amazing, keep up the great work!
