I agree with DrBalazs. Please update permissions 3.1.6 so it will work with MC now its been updated. If it is going to take more time then put that on the forum post. Permissions is the only one I can actually configure! :D

Hey so I've realized that TheYeti killed off the Permissions project. Would it be alright with you if I attempted to maintain it for awhile? I've managed to compile it for 1.0.1 (b1597). Any advice would be useful. Also how should I go about publishing source and such, if this is OK with you? (Never used github before although I do have an account.)

Ok, I built Permissions 3.2 and set the Read/Write Lock (ReentrantReadWriteLock) to use 'fair' mode. Here's the jar (source included inside): http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20948609/Permissions_custom.jar

This absolutely was the solution to my "Read Timed Out" issue. Please update to 3.2 with "Fair Mode" ASAP because many admins (like me) have been pulling out our hair -FOR WEEKS- over this issue.

Sry that i ask it here in your profile, but can you give more insight into how to get mysql working? im dying to use permissions 3.x but so far it just doesnt care for the mysql config? Perm 3.1.6 and bukkit #953, on a windows machine. (it 'just disobeys' and uses the yaml files instead)

Minecraft is right, it needs to be updated to 953, can't use any permissions. Getting a lot of griefers on my server, had to stop servers.
